2026 Champion for Children
Chef Dustin Valette
North Bay Children's Center is proud to honor Chef Dustin Valette as our 2026 Champion for Children.
A Sonoma County native with deep roots in Healdsburg, Chef Valette has built a career defined by excellence, creativity, and a genuine commitment to his community. His culinary journey began at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park and continued through some of the country's most celebrated kitchens, including Bouchon, Aqua, Gary Danko, and La Folie, before ultimately bringing his passion home to Sonoma County.
In 2015, Dustin and his brother Aaron Garzini opened Valette in the very building where their great-grandfather once operated a bakery more than a century ago. Since then, he has continued to shape Sonoma County's culinary landscape with The Matheson, Roof 106, and Valette Wines, earning Michelin recognition, Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence, and international acclaim for his wines, including back-to-back 100-point Cabernet Sauvignons.
Beyond his remarkable accomplishments, Dustin is a steadfast supporter of the North Bay community. Through his generosity, leadership, and belief in giving back, he has helped strengthen countless local organizations and causes, including North Bay Children's Center.
We are honored to recognize Chef Dustin Valette as our 2026 Champion for Children. His dedication to excellence, community, and creating opportunities for others reflects the values at the heart of NBCC. We are grateful for his partnership and his commitment to helping children and families thrive.
